REFUND POLICY
In the case where equipment or uniforms have been ordered for
registration, the cost of the equipment or uniforms will not be

by WRC. No refund will be given if persons fail to request a
refund prior to the start of the class. When a refund is issued a

PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS
Because some residents are unable to participate in recreation
programs due to economic hardship, the WRC provides a
scholarship to reduce or waive certain fees and charges. Applicants
for scholarships are not guaranteed program registration. All
requests will remain confidential. A limited amount of funding
is available for scholarships. Please inquire about scholarships
at the WRC office.
REGISTRATION REMINDERS
SIGN-UP POLICY
Sign-ups are on a first come, first serve basis. Many programs
have a limit on the number of participants. Once a program has
filled, you may request to be placed on a waiting list. After the
program has begun, a late charge will be assessed where
applicable. SORRY, NO TELEPHONE SIGN-UPS ALLOWED
If you are unable to register during regular office hours
(8:30-5:00pm / M - F), call us at 326-3323 and we'll be glad to
mail you a registration form for you to return by mail.
WAIVERS FOR PARTICIPATION
Parents or legal guardians of any youth participating in a youth
program must sign a waiver. Adult programs require the
participant to personally sign the waiver.
LIMITED ENROLLMENT
In programs with limited enrollments, participants must pay fees
before a place in the program will be reserved. If classes have
re-openings, sign-ups will be on a first come, first serve basis.
CANCELLATIONS
The WRC reserves the right to cancel any program due to low
enrollments, etc. Registered participants will receive
appropriate refunds.
NOTHING KILLS A PROGRAM QUICKER...
Than waiting until the last minute to register for it. At some point
a decision must be made on whether to cancel a program due to
lack of enrollment. Please register at least 3 working days prior to
the start date of the class to prevent cancellation due to
low enrollment.
OUT OF DISTRICT FEES
Out of District participants will not be assessed the additional fee
normally charged. (1 1/2 times the fee for programs and 1 1/4
times the fee for team sports).
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
Registration deadlines are established to give a date by which you
should be registered. However, registration deadlines may be
extended. If you missed the deadline, please call 326-3323 to get
information on possible deadline extensions.
PROGRAM POLICIES
CHILDREN ATTENDING CLASS
Due to lack of proper supervision, children are not allowed to attend
adult classes with their parents.
RAINY DAY PROCEDURES
Each instructor will make the decision to hold class if the weather
conditions are questionable. If conditions warrant cancellation of
the program, the instructor will contact the radio station. Listen to
KLEY (AM-1130) or KWME (FM-93.5). Also check Cable TV Channels
5 / 55 and the WRC website - www.wellington.cc for latest info.
MAKE-UPS
If a program is missed because of reasons beyond the control of
WRC, it will not be made up. If an individual misses a program
meeting, he or she may not make-up the missed class by attending
a similar meeting at a different time.

The Wellington Recreation Commission is operated through USD 353.
It is governed by five selected residents of Wellington who give their services to
the community.  The WRC Board holds its regular meetings on the fourth
Friday of each month at 7:00 am at the Recreation Center.  Residents are invited
to attend and are welcome to make suggestions or comments to improve the
programs or facilities offered.
